Dear Colleagues

The 4th Thai-German International Congress which will be held in Chiang Mai, a province in the north of Thailand, during 10-12 January 2018 will be another testimony to close collaboration between the Private Dentist Association of Thailand (PDAT) and the DGOI. The two parties also have successfully conducted several basic implantology courses for over 13 years.

The presentations made in the previous three congresses held in 2012, 2014 and 2016 have successfully developed the implant knowledge among all participants. Nowadays, it is without doubt that CAD/CAM has played an important role in dental implant practice. However, the CAD/CAM knowledge is still on its path of further development. New knowledge has been discovered and modern technologies have been developed and have been adopted into our dental world. In the upcoming congress, a lot of up-to-date technologies will be presented to enhance the dental implant practice.

Therefore, I would like to encourage you to join our upcoming congress. Chiang Mai, the meeting venue, is a very interesting place to visit. It sits in the northern mountainous area of Thailand. I am confident that you will enjoy not only the fruitful meeting but also magnificent and friendly atmosphere of this historic city.

It will be my great honor to welcome you in Chiang Mai. We will have another opportunity to learn together, share our knowledge and tighten our relationship.

In the global dental world is the field of Implantology an essential part of the patients treatment options,. It is scientificly based and clinically succesfull and predictable. It is one of the most fascinating and fastest growing disciplines in modern dentistry. The multioptional treatment options with digital planning , navigated surgery and CAD CAM planend and fabricated superstructures offer nearly unlimited possibilities for aesthetic and long lasting rehabilitations.

On the other hand a permanently updated knowledge is the key for every dentist to use this potential in a perfect manner for the daily work.
This upcoming congress provides an overview of Implant Art and Science with the contemporary treatment workflows by leading implantologist from Asia and Europe.

On January 10 -12 th , 2018, the fourth PDAT – DGOI international meetings will coming back again. From the success of our former programs , which has organized every two years , has enlarged in number of both participants and exhibitors. But more importantly, scientific programs which is the keynote of the meetings, not only world class speakers but also selected topics and workshops that the practitioners would be able to apply in their daily practices.

As scientific meeting chairman, I would like to invite all friends and colleagues to join us again to update your current knowledge and skill in the field of Implant Dentistry in the capital of the north , Chiang Mai , Thailand. I promise to bring you the most prominent and updated topics by the year 2018 that will worth the time you will spend in this congress.

As Chiang Mai is founded in 12 th century and center of old Buddhist temples ,situated among the hills and river in the north, making its reputation of nice weather , magnificent scenery , beautiful architectures , unique cultures and delicious foods.
